Core Talent are currently recruiting skilled Trades Assistants for a position working with a client of ours that specialise in Townhouse development.

The job itself will be based in the Northern Suburbs of Brisbane.

Pay: 35-36p/hr + Daily Travel Allowance + Meal allowance after 9.5hours + Super+ OT


Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist skilled tradespeople (carpenters, electricians, plumbers, etc.) in their daily tasks.
  • Prepare and maintain construction sites by cleaning and organising materials.
  • Handle tools and equipment under supervision to execute specific construction activities.
  • Measure and cut materials according to specifications.
  • Support tradespeople in problemsolving and implementing project plans.

Job Requirements:

  • Commercial experience.
  • Basic Handtool experience.
  • Experience either as Trade Assistant or a Tradesman's hand.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to handle the demands of a construction site.
  • Willingness to learn and take direction from experienced tradespeople.
  • Strong work ethic, reliability, and a positive attitude.
  • Safety consciousness and the ability to follow guidelines to ensure a secure working environment.
You must also have the following

  • Valid white card.
  • Reliable transport to and from the work site.
  • Working rights in Australia.
  • Atleast 2 construction based reference.
  • PPE: Hard Hat, Hi Vis, Steel Cap boots, Work pants and shirt.
  • Ability to undertake a Background check.
