What you will do


In this newly created position, your primary focus will be translating the annual work program into concise structured packages, reducing the impact on process, assets, and maintenance costs whilst also anticipating and resolving potential delays through planning and coordination of labour, parts, materials, and equipment.


  • Review maintenance items in the work program and ensure effective resource allocation (including contractor, material & resources) to meet maintenance work targets and schedules.
  • Request and review quotation from contractors to ensure it is competitive and cost effective.
  • Create purchase orders and run regular reporting to ensure contactors deliver and invoice on time
  • Perform plan vs actual analysis with the aim of driving improved performance along with ensuring maintenance plans are fit for purpose.
  • Provide technical support to ensure planned maintenance tasks are completed to appropriate quality with all supporting documentation actioned and recorded in a timely manner
  • Ensure effective management of backlog or overdue preventative maintenance plans meet corporate measures
  • Provide a holistic review and oversight of work program to ensure efficient delivery of works

About you
You work well under pressure while managing multiple tasks and are driven to increase business efficiency through process improvements. You have knowledge of asset management principles as well as operations and maintenance practices. Any experience in the delivery of water would be a bonus.

Previous Experience

  • Tertiary or trade qualification in a relevant discipline.
  • Substantial experience in works planning and maintenance execution in a heavy industrial or multidisciplined operational environment
  • Considerable experience in fieldbased asset operations and maintenance in a large infrastructurebased service organisation
  • Current 'C' Class Divers licence
