Base Salary Range - $120,860 - $133,184 + super


NSW Department of Education has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and experienced individual to join our thriving Finance team as a Principal Finance Officer.


In this role you will be;

  • Preparing senior management reports and analysis on monthly basis including reports to Ministers office and Treasury
  • Preparing ad hoc report and analysis to senior management and, if required, to other government agencies on a wide range of financial activities
  • Coordinate with business partners to review and provide inputs into key programs reporting.
  • Responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of Prime upload and reporting
  • Assist with building robust analysis models and dashboards

We are seeking someone with;

  • Strong communication and people skills
  • Ability to collaborate seamlessly within a team
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Advanced skills in Excel
  • Tertiary qualifications in accounting or finance
  • Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.
