Temporary up to 30/6/24 and part-time working 3.75 hours per week

  • The purpose of this position is to work within the multidisciplinary Statewide Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program and to contribute to the provision of high standard clinical services to patients with Cystic Fibrosis referred to the Cystic Fibrosis Service in both hospital and community settings.
  • Direct and oversee the care of patients for whom the Visiting Medical Specialist is responsible.
  • Contribute actively to the Cystic Fibrosis Unit to ensure safe, best practice clinical services for patients
  • Contribute to teaching and training of medical, nursing, allied health and other relevant staff at undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
  • Conducts research/quality improvement activities to develop / enhance existing Program.
  • Contribute actively to the ongoing improvement of the hospital's care delivery systems.

Qualification

  • Appropriate Specialist qualification and registrable as a Specialist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). [Adult Physician or Paediatrician with sub specialty qualification in Endocrinology]
  • Demonstrated participation in continuing medical education since attaining specialist qualification.
  • Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
