Our client is at the forefront of the construction and engineering industries in Australia, leveraging innovative Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) technologies to deliver outstanding projects.

Right now, they are going through a substantial growth period and targeted recruitment drive to expand their national group and secure the industries best talent in VDC.

Several positions exist in all states at the 'top end' of the organisational chart, however this specific position we are seeking is for the VDC Manager of QLD.

We are seeking an experienced
VDC Manager to join the team and contribute to the ongoing business success. This is a key role in this 1000+ strong national Mechanical Services firm.

Location:
QLD
Reports to: National VDC Leader

Joining a national team of 60, the main focus of this position is managing the virtual design and construction requirements of projects for the state, including all drafting and BIM (BIM) activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and oversee VDC project workflows and teams.
Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to integrate VDC technologies into projects.
Ensure VDC deliverables comply with industry standards and client expectations.
Drive innovation and efficiency in our VDC processes.

Qualifications:

Completion of an industrybased training courses (Certificate IV in Drafting
Air Conditioning and Mechanical Services) or equivalent industry experience
10 + years drafting experience within the Building Services industry
An understanding of mechanical systems and Building Services, gained through relevant industry experience
Knowledge of and experience using BIM/CAD software
Understanding of Australian Codes and Standards

Personal Attributes

Strong leadership skills and ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Proficient in VDC software and tools.
