This is a temporary role until November 2023.


The Intelligence Analyst is accountable to a nominated Intelligence Supervisor/Manager/Coordinator or Senior Analyst and is responsible for identifying and reporting on existing and evolving patterns and trends relating to the responsibilities of South Australia Police.

Through research, data analysis and the preparation of detailed tactical and/or strategic products, the incumbent will provide considerations for managers to enable informed decision making relating to identified issues.


Special Conditions

  • Although not essential an appropriate tertiary qualification in intelligence, research, data and/or statistical analysis will be considered favourably.
  • Span of ordinary hours of duty will be between 0700 to 1730 hours on Monday to Friday to ensure required coverage. In MOS/SOS, the business needs require some roster flexibility, which will be determined by local policy
  • Some out of hours work and intra/interstate travel may be required.
  • The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL's iEngage program.

Salary
ASO4 ($74,315- $77,901 per annum)
