    We have a new Pricing and Tariff Specialist vacancy in our Finance Group

    Our Finance Group is on a mission to champion, safeguard and drive customer, community, and shareholder value. They do this by leading our business through enterprise performance, procurement and supply initiatives, financial management, and creating and enhancing sustainable value.

    The Pricing and Tariff Specialist is accountable for all aspects of pricing and tariff analysis (including utility and non-utility charges and infrastructure charges) and modelling for Urban Utilities. The role will also be responsible for all analytical activities critical to the ongoing development and evolution of Urban Utilities' pricing, revenue, and tariff strategies.

    Some of your accountabilities will include:

    • Providing modelling and insights to ensure Urban Utilities pricing to customers remains affordable and transparent, providing analysis to support setting pricing and tariffs that are resilient and adaptive to changing customer expectations and regulatory oversight.
    • Contribute to the development of strategic business policies and help develop policy frameworks for the determination of tariff and pricing structures.
    • Expert-level economic analysis, accounting and/or regulatory modelling to deliver prescribed outcomes including development, reforms and maintenance of pricing and tariff models, systems and/or processes.
    • Identify new external developments by proactively monitoring intelligence across local markets,
    • regulatory frameworks and obligations, global trends and customer feedback on matters that will impact pricing and charges.
    • Significant interpersonal and verbal communication on infrastructure charging arrangements, pricing and tariff implementation, tariff reforms and annual pricing decisions. Facilitation and participation in internal and external meetings, workshops and consultation to influence decision making.

    About You:

    We are seeking candidates who are passionate about shaping our future, and ideally have the following qualifications, skills and experiences:

    • A tertiary level qualification in accounting, finance, economics, or equivalent specialist work experience.
    • Demonstrated experience in an accounting, financially modelling, economics, or pricing role, within a large commercial organisation with experience of operations in a regulated environment.
    • Have a critical thinking mindset when looking to conceptualising risks and opportunities, and you possess high levels of perseverance and resilience in times of uncertainty.
    • Have an acute understand of the role we play within the SEQ community, driving and championing pricing strategies and that ultimately add value back to our shareholders and customers.
