About the role:

We currently have an opportunity for an experienced
Maintenance Officer to join us at our Plumpton Villa (Glenroy) Home. The
Maintenance Officer role sits within the leadership level and is a pivotal role within the Home.

Reporting to the Home Manager, you will oversee a variety of maintenance tasks and checks across the facility ensuring a safe environment for residents and employees.

Additionally, you will be responsible for the preventative and corrective maintenance program as set out by our organisation.

What You Will Do:

Ensure at all times that risks are appropriately managed and in line with policies and procedures
Identify opportunities to improve maintenance processes
Maintain all documentation as required by CraigCare's policies and procedures
Support the Home Manager in multiple duties including regulatory compliance requirements and more
Report all incidents immediately and follow corrective action directives
Collaborate with the National Building Services Manager and other CraigCare Maintenance Officer's to ensue processes are reviewed and improved where appropriate
Maintain professionalism and care when interacting with residents and residents family

What You Will Bring:

General maintenance including, but not limited to, patch & painting, minor carpentry, minor plumbing, changing of light globes, minor repairs to wheelchairs, beds and various residents equipment
Assist in overseeing compliance relating to fire safety and accreditation
Supervise external contractors
Maintain the workshop, plant rooms and store rooms in a clean and tidy manner and maintain all tools & equipment in a safe manner
Ability to operate as part of a multidisciplinary team, promoting an engaging and inclusive Home environment
Excellent interpersonal skills and empathetic communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders both verbally and in writing
Customer service focused and committed to achieving optimal outcomes for our residents, families and organisation
Demonstrated organisational and timemanagement skills and the ability to prioritise effectively
Is a team player and is also able to work autonomously
Previous experience in aged care and similar highly desirable but not essential
Maintain strict confidentiality of residents, employees and visitors
