About the role.**:
Key responsibilities.**:
The Technical Writer will be responsible for:
- Development and co-ordination of the development, uplift, and changes to existing technical and security documentation suites, applicable to enable the capability for use within Defence, private industry, and academia.
- Derive cyber security principles and requirements into actionable products and policies or processes that can be implemented by the project delivery team to provide the required information to a variety of technical and/or nontechnical stakeholders.
- Be accountable for the accurate completion of highquality work within required timeframes and quality standards.
- Have the ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
Highly desirable criteria.**:
- ICT system and software security design, development, and implementation.
- Secure Network design and implementation.
- Cloud technologies.
- Cyber and information security.
- Cyber security architecture.
- Ability to communicate effectively and tailor presentation style and messaging to a range of audiences with varying levels of knowledge, skills, and experience.
- Sound interpersonal skills including the ability to work as an effective member of a team and communicate positively with colleagues and clients spanning multiple organisational domains.
- Respond strongly and positively to deadlines.
- Personnel providing the services must have a minimum NV1 (Negative Vetting level 1), with a strong preference for NV2 (Negative Vetting Level 2).
Desirable criteria.**:
- Demonstrated experience in the development of ICT Security Accreditation documentation within the Commonwealth Government context.
- Demonstrated ability to engage with and extract relevant information or content from stakeholders in order to develop the required documents.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Previous experience within the Defence environment.
- Familiarity with Defence IT security policies and concepts.
- Familiarity with Public Cloud environments and service offerings.
- Security Clearances for Nominated Personnel.
