About the role:


This role contributes to the success of the City by overseeing the development and implementation of an effective and engaging program of events and activities focused on older people in the Hobart community and ensure the Mathers and Criterion House facilities provide services and activities that align with the community's needs and interests.


Role accountabilities include:

  • Provide active leadership in delivering on the strategic objectives for Mathers and Criterion House, including development, implementation and evaluation of effective and engaging programs and activities on an ongoing basis.
  • Manage the daytoday operations of both Mathers and Criterion House, including financial management, asset management, maintenance, security, bookings, kitchen management and supervision of staff and volunteers.
  • Manage the development, implementation and evaluation of programs and activities at Mathers and Criterion House in collaboration with the Inclusive City Program Leader and in consultation with Hobart Older Persons Reference Group, as appropriate.

About you:


You will need to have qualification/s in the aged or community sector and facility management, and/or demonstrable practical competence acquired through relevant direct experience in delivering community or volunteer programs and/or managing facilities.

A minimum of 3 years of experience is preferable in a similar industry.
