Description

Work with one of Australia's leading not-for-profit private healthcare facilities as a Building Operator based in Richmond. This role is permanent full time.

The Role:

Joining the Facilities team and reporting to the Facilities Supervisor the Building Operator will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all hospital properties.

You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of building systems and equipment to ensure the safety, comfort, and functionality of our buildings.

Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine inspections of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire safety, to identify and address issues promptly.
Monitoring BMS Alarms
Attend to medical gas alerts & changing of medical cylinders
Conduct plant room checks
Coordinate and oversee preventive maintenance schedules for all building equipment and systems.
Manage and supervise thirdparty contractors and service providers for repair and maintenance projects.
Conduct regular safety inspections and implement safety protocols and procedures.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment manuals, and service contracts.

About you:

A trades qualification or equivalent experience in Facilities Maintenance.
Good understanding and knowledge in HVAC systems, chillers, aircons, building management system & nurse school systems
Computer proficiency, particularly in programs like MS Office.
Strong organisational, prioritisation, and time management skills.
Collaborative abilities to work effectively within diverse teams.
The capacity to navigate varying and sometimes conflicting demands.
Dedication to aligning with the institution's mission, values, and strategic plan.
WCCC & Valid Police Check
Must be Covid Vaccinated + Flu vax
Available to work on call as required including weekends
