At TOMRA we are all about Clean Loop Recycling Our reverse vending technology enables the collection of used drink containers to ensure that containers have the best chance of being turned back into containers again. It is part of a continuous recycling process which we call Clean Loop Recycling, to ensure that fewer resources are used, less energy is wasted, and containers do not end up in our oceans, streets, or landfill. We're proud to be collecting containers across Australia, with over 320 collection points across NSW. In addition, we have state-of-the-art Recycling Centres in Queensland, Northern Territory, and Western Australia with Victoria coming onboard soon.

Job Description

Victoria's Container Deposit Scheme is due to begin on November the 1st. TOMRA are offering collection points across Victoria's West. One of most exciting collection points will be our brand new depot based in Sunbury.

As a Recycling Centre Supervisor, you will play a hands-on role in maintaining and overseeing the day-to-day operations of our recycling depot.

Duties will include but are not limited to the following:

Supervise and lead a small team providing ongoing mentoring, coaching, and support
Ensure maximum operational uptime and processing volumes through efficient management of operational team
Responsible for all depot WHS governance, practices and improvements
Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
Work on the ground with team when work volume demands are high
Maintain a professional and clean work environment staff and customers
Troubleshoot with Technician on RVM issues
Compliance with TOMRA SAFE Standards and Guidelines

Qualifications

What makes a great Recycling Depot Supervisor at TOMRA?

A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
Tertiary qualification in Frontline Management or equivalent (preferred)
Hold a current Forklift Licence
Excellent computer skills
Ability to motivate and support employees through ongoing professional development
Customer focussed and experienced with handling customer complaints
Excellent attention to detail and strong time management skills
A strong drive for personal achievement and success
Prepared to undergo mandatory Police Check and a Pre-employment Medical assessment to assess capability to perform the role requirements safely.
