Position summary

Confluence Water, the Ventia, Downer and Jacobs joint venture, is one of three regional delivery consortia providing services under Sydney Water's Partnering for Success program.

Confluence Water delivers design, construction, maintenance and facilities management services in Sydney Water's North region, which stretches from Sydney Harbour to the Hawkesbury River and includes the Hills Shire.

We are currently seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to join the joint venture operational team on a permanent full-time basis who will oversee & complete Finance & Accounting activities, considering daily priorities, with a focus on end-to-end processes.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Develop and maintain a solid and detailed knowledge of the Joint Venture operating model including financial, commercial, & contractual requirements.

Understand contract profitability drivers and develop relevant metrics to measure these drivers and the data inputs behind these metrics. Continuous review & update as applicable.

Optimise processes to deliver quality outcomes for the Joint Venture and customer in line with key deliverables.

Ensure the accounts functions are completed in a timely and efficient manner and in accordance with parent company guidelines.

Partner with the Construction Leads & Managers to drive the financial forecast process for projects. With the Project Controls team, review & challenge project forecasts for accuracy & financial outcomes.

ABOUT YOU
Tertiary qualification in a finance or related discipline & port tertiary professional qualification.

Excel spreadsheeting & modelling skills

SAP experience is advantageous.

Leadership - Capacity to mentor, motivate and guide the work of others. Ability to work with limited supervision and in a participative and consultative manner

Communication - Communicate both verbally and in writing across a range of stakeholders in a manner that is audience appropriate.
