The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (RANZCP), the principal organisation representing the medical speciality of psychiatry in Australia and New Zealand, is seeking an Assessment Administration Officer to join our Education & Training department.


Duties include, but are not limited to, assessment administrative support, data entry, filing, document control, preparation of assessment information and materials for the clinical and written assessments, and the provision of support and advice to relevant stakeholders, team members and assistance with supporting relevant committees.


This role will be responsible to:

  • Provide general administrative and logistics support for the assessment activities across the teams in the Assessments, members of the relevant committees, and provide assistance in the coordination of assessment deliverables.
  • For any external assessment activities, coordinate domestic and overseas travel and accommodation arrangements, as required.
  • Provide committee support and any relevant committee administration as required.
  • Liaise with other College staff to facilitate efficient administration of assessments and the requirements.
  • Provide administration for the venues and sites for assessments or examinations as required, including coordination of catering, audiovisual, assessors, volunteers, staff and organize travel and accommodation and document distribution, and liaise with external parties, as appropriate.
  • Administer all aspects of assessment paperwork.
  • Administer registration processes, data entry of results, and maintenance of assessment lists and participants' records.
  • Responsible for the relevant assessmentrelated databases ensuring accurate and uptodate record keeping, database/s management, trainee files and standard operating procedures.
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a team and carry out duties autonomously.
  • Demonstrated highlevel administration skills, and ability to take ownership of responsibilities and escalate any issues when needed.
  • Genuine commitment to meeting deadlines and providing highquality administrative support and advice to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent organisational skills including the ability to undertake numerous tasks concurrently.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills including the ability to plan,
set priorities, and meet deadlines, with the flexibility to alter priorities to meet
changing demands.

  • Ability to think creatively and offer input into the improvement of administrative
operations of the Examinations team.

  • Demonstrated understanding of the postgraduate assessment environment and/or the Education sector.
  • Willingness and ability to travel interstate/ New Zealand for the purposes of assessment activities as required and undertake some after hours and weekend work as required to assist with assessment activities and any additional departmental deliverables.
  • Tertiary administration services experience such as student administration in education or university sector.
  • Understanding of assessment management and administration of examinations.
  • Experience in an administrative and/or education and/or membership environment.
