Description:

ACEnergy is located in Melbourne, Victoria specialising in Renewable Energy Development and Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC).

Our solution includes but is not limited to Site Acquisition, Development Application, Engineering Design, Grid Studies, Connection Application, Procurement Arrangement, International and Domestic Logistics, Civil, Mechanical and Electrical installation, HV Switching, SCADA control, and full Project Management from project planning to practical completion and handover.

The Project Management team manages a portfolio of utility-scale solar projects and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)


A fantastic opportunity has become available for a
New Technology Development Manager to join our company in Camberwell VIC 3124.

This opportunity is being offered on a permanent full-time basis.


About the Role


As part of ACEnergy's development team, you have the responsibility to create innovative new technology opportunities that reflect market trend.

Projects must hold a strong business case and follow the entire development process through personal input and management of necessary specialists and consultants to secure, complete and handover fully consented projects to client.

The role will focus on renewable energy innovation and introduce new technology projects with capacity of over 350MW across Victoria and New South Wales.

Additionally, you must elevate the profile of ACEnergy in the Australian Market to ensure business growth aligned with company vision, values and goals.


Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Client

  • Development of professional relationships at all levels
  • Maximise penetration to create ongoing opportunities
  • Manage communication flow to ensure clear understanding of project progress

Stakeholders

  • Manage interaction with a wide variety of Government Departments both State and Federal to gain relevant approvals
  • Presenting project concept and proposal to councillors and MPs where necessary
  • Selection of relevant consultants/experts to provide supporting services to specific project needs
  • Manage output quality and quantity of providers
  • Local community consultation and engagement
  • Active involvement in relevant industry forums to raise company profile
  • Facilitate structured meetings with external investors and codevelopers during predevelopment and postdevelopment stages
  • Create, manage and update project dataroom and facilitate communication

Land

  • Securing options to lease and purchase agreement for individual and consolidated land
  • Creating new opportunities through landowner engagement
  • Negotiating site specific location in relation to environmental impacts with landowners
  • Securing third party land rights and caveats
  • Securing mortgagee consent where required

Project Design

  • Arranging site surveys to accommodate new developing projects
  • Collaborating with project engineers to create geotechnical survey scope of work
  • Reviewing development consented conditions in preparation for construction
  • Creating management plans for stakeholder endorsement prior to construction

Grid Interconnection

  • Negotiating plant study requirements, timeframes and fees
  • Managing PoC identification and compliance where required

Reporting

  • Reporting directly to Project Director
  • Monthly project status reporting is required for internal review
  • Monthly project status and reporting as required tailored to client needs
  • Adhoc as requested

Skills & qualifications:


  • Proven track record of managing development lifecycle of renewable energy projects over 350MW capacity in Victoria and New South Wales
  • Proven track record of managing a portfolio of renewable energy projects simultaneously through development lifecycle in Victoria and New South Wales
  • Previous experience coordinating entire connection process with Ausnet Services and Transgid.
  • Have a minimum 3 years' relevant experience in utility scale Battery Energy Storage and Solar farm project development & management with a proven track record
  • Have business acumen and strategic thinking skills
