Your new role:

In your new role as the Mission Systems Lead you will be responsible of the rapid development and deployment of capability enhancements to the JORN System.

You will be given the opportunity to utilize and grow your existing knowledge and experience through the development and implementation of an incremental engineering approach.


Key responsibilities will be:


  • Responsible for the delivery of technical outcomes of the JORN Mission System, including technical assurance and certification that the product meets customer and regulatory requirements, and is safe within its designed environment
  • Leading the delivery of JORN engineering outcomes in an efficient manner while optimising cost and schedule through close collaboration with the JORN Acquisition engineering teams
  • Contributing to the technical risk management (project and technical integrity) within the JORN project
  • Acting as engineering point of contact with internal teams to communicate requirements and develop technical solution in accordance with the Contract. Support the Project Manager and Engineering Manager in defining the Work Breakdown Structure, Project Schedule, and staffing profile for significant program changes or future programs
  • Preparing and maintaining Engineering management Plans as required.
  • Substantial experience within systems and/or electrical/electronic engineering discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in the practice military systems engineering
  • Strong communication skills and proven ability in technical report writing
  • Substantial experience and knowledge of the engineering development lifecycle including participation in design reviews, analyses, implementation of hardware solutions, integration and test, delivery and support systems
  • Ideally previous experience working with subcontractors in the delivery of military systems
  • An electronic and/or electrical engineering or technology degree qualified or equivalent experience
  • NV1 Minimum Clearance
