Your Opportunity

The Project Support Officer, Product Development Network coordinates all administrative and project tasks required to support the business and staff of the Product Development unit.

This position reports to the Director, Product Development.
This is a Temporary Full-Time opportunity, to 3rd May,2024 unless otherwise determined.

The position will be based primarily at however you may be required to perform work at other TAFE Queensland campuses.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective administrative systems and processes, including systems relating to the management of human resource, finance, asset, projects and performance reporting ensuring they comply with established organisational policy and procedure.
  • Coordinate human resource activities and administrative and business processes relating to the onboarding and day to day management of project contractors.
  • Provide administrative and financial services to support the activities of the unit, including budget spreadsheet management, financial reconciliations and purchasing requirements.
  • Provide secretariat services for the Connect Procedures Working Group and Product Unit Taskforce meetings including logistics, preparation and distribution of agendas, minutes and actions.
  • Establish, maintain and continually improve the effective flow and impact of communication between all members of the Product Development Team.
  • Resolve operational problems and assist in the development and implementation of initiatives, policies, processes and systems for effective and efficient administration across the projects.
  • Coordinate regular reviews and updates of the Product Development Network's documentation in accordance with the requirements of TAFE Queensland's policy and procedures.
  • Liaise with clients, internal and external stakeholders in relation to enquiries relevant to the Product Development Network.
  • Undertake shortterm research tasks, projects and assignments in accordance with instructions issued and timelines stipulated.
  • Act as the conduit between Product Development and Product Services, providing regular reporting on contractor hours, billable project hours and attendance.
  • Develop and maintain productive working relationships with management and stakeholders through the establishment of effective communication and provision of regular reports and feedback on project activities.
How you will be assessed
The ideal applicant will have the following key capabilities within the context of the key responsibilities outlined above:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide financial, human resource and general administration services and reporting to assist a business unit to achieve high levels of client satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to produce, interrogate, interpret and report relevant business information reports.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, liaison, negotiation, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate activities to achieve successful outcomes within strict deadlines.
