(HE05) $77,409 - $86,072 per annum plus an employer contribution of 17% superannuation applies.

We are seeking to appoint a part-time (0.4 fte) Project Administration Officer initially for 9 months to commence beginning of October 2023. This role could have the potential to extend beyond this date.
The Mobile Language Team (MLT) supports the Aboriginal language of South Australia


MLT seeks to:

  • Increase access to language learning resources for all young Aboriginal people;
  • Raise awareness about issues relating to language revival and maintenance;
  • Develop digital platforms for language delivery;
  • Lobby on behalf of SA Aboriginal communities state and federal governments to preserve SA's rich language heritage.


Working under the general direction of the Manager, Mobile Language Team, the Project Administration Officer will be responsible for providing administration support relating to MLT operations.

This will include liaising with HR and other relevant areas with regards to coordination of casual contracts, contractor assessments, travel arrangements, basic finance and the coordination of contracts with external agencies.


The successful applicant will be experienced in managing multiple tasks, able to work to deadlines and ensure that projects are kept on track.


To be successful you will need:

  • Knowledge and experience in project administration with a demonstrated ability to plan, document and monitor activities.
  • Demonstrated experience communicating, both verbally and in writing, in a succinct, professional and responsive manner.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office Applications including Word (advanced), PowerPoint (advanced), Visio (intermediate) Outlook (intermediate) and Excel (basic).
  • Excellent attention to detail, demonstrated problem solving capability and a high level of organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters.
