Your Opportunity


Berry Street's Western Family Violence Service (WFVS) is the lead provider of integrated family violence services in the Central Highlands sub-region.


Berry Street have an amazing opportunity for an experienced and passionate Program Manager to join our Western Leadership team in managing the Intake and Response program within The Orange Door - Ballarat.


The Orange Door operates as a single area-based entry point for vulnerable families and children, including those experiencing and using family violence.

TODs provide risk assessment, safety planning, intervention, immediate response and access to longer supports.


As Program Manager - Specialist Family Violence Intake & Response, you will provide supervision, support and advocacy to up to 10 Berry Street's Specialist Family Violence staff in The Orange Door including a team of Practice Leaders, Team Leaders and Practitioners.


Your Skills and Experience


As the Program's new Manager, you will have experience with and enjoy supervising and working with multidisciplinary practitioners, including supporting and promoting professional development and wellbeing of staff.


You will be a strong leader who promotes a culture of client centered service delivery, with an excellent understanding of contemporary family violence interventions and the role of intersectional feminism in the gendered nature of family violence.


You will also demonstrate the ability to build partnerships, influence and integrate current knowledge, research, and government policy initiatives to strategically develop and support delivery of innovative and quality outcomes for adult and child victim-survivors and people who use violence.


A minimum Bachelor level qualification is necessary for success in this role, and a minimum of 3 years leadership experience within a family violence focused service.
