Your Contribution

  • Proactively maintain cyber security ensuring reduction of any business disruption
  • Provide effective change management, capacity planning, incident management, risk management and continuity planning utilising best practices in network infrastructure support and service delivery.
  • Establish and maintain highly effective working relationships with other staff within the department to ensure the alignment and integration of operational services, processes and service levels across the organisation.
  • Provide high level technical skills in the analysis of infrastructure issues and the formulation, design and provision of appropriate solutions and improvements.
  • Install, configure, and maintain enterprise security devices and solutions.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on technical procedures, system design, such firewall block lists, ACLs and other related technical areas.
  • Collaborate with enterprise customers, 3rd parties, project teams, and other technical experts for seamless and secure functionality of the networks and infrastructure capability.
  • Ensure endtoend service delivery for enterprise systems within ECQ
  • Undertaken and analyse ICT system issues that contribute to the design and implementation of appropriate solutions and improvements including but not limited to:
  • Network Firewalls; e.g. Palo Alto, Juniper or Cisco
  • Network Security; IPS, Antivirus, Antimalware
  • Network Management; Routing, NAC
  • Load Balancing and Clustering, NAT
  • External Access, Site to Site and Dynamic VPN's, VDI
  • Forward and Reverse Proxy configuration and implementations
  • Multi Factor Authentication mechanisms, SMS, tokens, certificates and PKI
  • Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, VMWare, Azure, AWS
  • Microsoft Active Directory, Intune, Managing Internal and External DNS
Desirable Attributes


The following attributes will be highly regarded:

  • Whilst not mandatory, certification in Security, Network Infrastructure or Systems will be highly regarded.
  • Minimum of five (5) years' experience in a similar role.
  • Demonstrated understanding of security concepts such as confidentiality, integrity, availability, privacy, asset, threat, vulnerability, risk, control, risk treatment and other related topics as well as business implications associated with such topics.
  • Effective working knowledge of IS18, ASD Essential 8 and other security frameworks.
