The Western Renewables Link Project (WRL) is the largest transmission build in over three decades and a vital conduit to channel renewable energy from western Victoria's abundant wind and solar farms to homes across the state, strengthening the National Electricity Market.

    Step into the role of a Stakeholder Engagement Specialist and support our team's efforts to cultivate genuine relationships and advance the WRL project. Working hand-in-hand with the Stakeholder Manager and our dedicated team, you'll be responsible for planning and executing initiatives aimed at fostering real connections and positive outcomes with a range of regional stakeholders.

    Your primary objective? Nurture real relationships with community and regional stakeholders, ensuring they're consistently kept informed with timely updates and crucial project information. Your knack for recording and integrating stakeholder feedback will drive the project forward, ensuring their voices are heard and considered in project development and delivery. Additionally, you'll be pivotal in resolving any issues that arise, while steadily building support for our operational programs.

    With a 3/2 Hybrid split Office / WFH , this role can be based in Melbourne CBD or in the region (Ballarat) and is part of the Western Renewables Link project team, Development & Future Networks team.

    This role will deliver real outcomes, including but not limited to:

    • Utilise expertise to strategise engagement efforts, develop plans, and facilitate community involvement.
    • Manage relationships with diverse stakeholders, ensuring input is integrated into project considerations.
    • Conduct stakeholder mapping and collaborate on clear stakeholder messaging and management.
    • Address stakeholder correspondence promptly and facilitate engaging project activities.
    • Resolve issues, build strong relationships, and coordinate with internal and external resources.
    • Identify and manage engagement issues and risks, proactively addressing ongoing concerns.

    You don't need to check every box; however, we are looking for a good combination of:

    • Utilize engagement expertise to strategize and guide engagement plans effectively.
    • Offer guidance, develop, and execute engagement strategies to enhance community involvement.
    • Manage relationships across diverse stakeholder groups, including community, industry, and government bodies.
    • Ensure stakeholder input is documented and integrated into project considerations.
    • Conduct stakeholder mapping and collaborate with communication teams for consistent messaging.
    • Coordinate and conduct engagement activities, including meetings and forums, to support project development and construction phases.
