The Role

Your responsibilities include:

Data and Analytics Driven:


  • Summarise key insights to members of the executive team and to the firm, to drive better outcomes, support strategic ambitions and influence key decision making and change.
  • Manage the planning, development, and delivery of key analytics programs from the conceptual stage through to execution and collation of results to drive business outcomes.
  • Assist the function in becoming more efficient and effective through the use of data analytics, insights, and automation.

Senior consulting mindset and approach:


  • Develop, engage and foster relationships with key stakeholders by understanding their needs, providing analytical recommendations and solutions for firm and client problems.
  • Using a trusted advisor approach to educate and demonstrate the value of data, analytics and insights to drive uptake within the firm.
  • Managing expectations by identifying, communicating and addressing project risks, assumptions and constraints; and further guiding stakeholders to a sustainable, best practice solution

Team leadership and mentoring:


  • Identifying and providing solutions for ongoing skills needed within the team.
  • Act as a thought leader, enabling the Analytics Centre of Excellence to deliver world class analytics.
  • Mentor and support an engaged data community across the firm to provide development opportunities as well as advocates for data and analytics initiatives.

BI Capability delivery and modernization

  • Partner with the data community across the firm to drive and deliver D&A initiatives and programs of work. Act as the SME on core data assets. E.g. Finance, Talent, CMG / Marketing
  • Continuous review and optimization of the BI strategy/platform.
  • Maturing selfservice BI and AI/ML capabilities within the firm.
  • Support and enablement of the data engineering and optimisation function.

Program / project management:


  • Act as project lead for one or more key business initiatives, defining and tracking overall project plan and related milestones
  • Collaborate with others to agree objectives and organise resources effectively to achieve desired outcomes
  • Proactively identify challenges / opportunities and engage stakeholders (internal / external) to ensure impact.

Vendor management:


  • Foster enduring relationships with trusted data and analytics vendors and partners.
  • Support the Analytics lead to facilitate regular forum for vendor partners to come together and collaborate on common business problems and opportunities and foster innovation.
  • Ensure alignment with the firm's processes and guidelines including procurement, policies, development guidelines.

More About You

We welcome applicants who have:

  • 6+ years of experience within a data analytics function and in selfservice reporting and visualisation
- (proven experience with BI platforms like Qlik, PowerBI, Tableau)

  • Experience working in an agile environment, sound understanding of SDLC principles and managing BAU requests within this operating model
  • Experience with cloudbased Data Warehouse and Data Lake environments (experience with AWS/Azure/GCP)
  • Solid data architecture experience and ability to shape and evolve the data pipelines and future use cases of data to deliver better outcomes for the firm
  • Proven career experience in data storytelling, communicating value with data.
  • Data science/Machine learning/ Python or R experience within an Enterprise environment (highly preferred)
  • Quantitative experience around interrogating large datasets with advanced proficiency in spreadsheet and database programs.
