CBA's Global Markets division is responsible for the Trading and Sales activities in financial markets encompassing all Foreign Exchange, Commodities, Fixed Income and Interest Rate products.

The Global Markets Sales team play an important part in enhancing our client's success by making global markets easy to navigate.

The Markets Direct team provides Foreign Exchange and Deposit product support to meet the needs of clients (existing and new) within Business Bank (BB).

As an
Associate you will be an integral team member who provides exceptional service and support to CBA customers transacting primarily through CBA electronic channels, delivering client outcomes with respect to their on-going FX needs.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Develop strong relationships with sales teams and stakeholders.
  • Educate and assist, as the first point of contact, for the internal (bankers) and external (customers) for FX and FX linked products.
  • Work with Bankers, Global Markets Specialists (GMS) and Account Managers to facilitate seamless activation for customers with a FX need, ensuring a smooth and timely customer experience.
  • Triage internal FX leads including conducting FX needs assessments to confirm appropriate pricing and service channel.
  • Drive retention, adoption and active usage of FX and Payments services across multiple channels but with a particular focus on digital channels.

We're interested in hearing from people who have:

  • Passion for Financial Markets, specifically Foreign Exchange
  • Experience in financial services or other relevant corporate experience.
  • Proven success in growing the value of a portfolio and/or achieving specific sales and service targets.
  • Sound business acumen.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven commitment to comply with regulations, policies and process.
  • Tertiary qualification and AFMA accreditation are desirable.
