The Suburban Rail Loop is a transformative project that will revolutionize Victoria's public transport system by connecting Melbourne's suburbs. It will provide greater access to job opportunities, education, health services, and more.

The project will be built in stages over several decades, starting with SRL East, which will deliver twin 27 km tunnels, six new underground stations, and improvements to local precincts.

About the opportunity


The Manager, Learning and Development is responsible for designing and delivering enterprise approaches to capability development to enable employees to perform at their best and to build the long-term capability requirements across the organisation, in line with SRLA's People Strategy.

This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated L&D practitioner who loves creating, designing and working with people to deliver solutions with real impact.

You will have a thirst for emerging learning and development trends and a knack for implementing these in their learning and development strategies, initiatives and solutions.


About you

  • You will lead the development of a capability framework to provide a strategic focus on how capability development programs and initiatives are delivered at SRLA
  • Identify practical and innovative solutions to further strengthen our commitment to capability development, ensure that compliancebased training is delivered in a timely and engaging manner and SRLA is regarded as an employer with a genuine commitment to professional development
