  • Fixed Term until June 202
  • PACCT 5.3 $75,318.00 per annum (exclusive of superannuation)

About the role:

Fantastic opportunity to join Box Hill Institute (BHI) as one of our Payroll Officers working within our wonderful Finance and Payroll team


Your role will be responsible for providing payment of staff salaries and associated payments to ensure employees are paid on time and accurately as well as reconciliation and payment of PAYG, Payroll Tax, Superannuation contributions and other charges associated with BHI's payroll.


Within this role you will be a main contact point for all BHI employee payroll related enquiries which will provide opportunities to build strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

You will also be accountable for calculating all forms of leave, investigating discrepancies, timesheet and record creation and maintenance.


As the Payroll Officer, you will be monitoring the accuracy of all data in the payroll system to ensure data integrity for management and reporting purposes and identify opportunities to further improvements relating to payroll products and services.


  • Please note; this role is a fixed term position until June 2024.

About You:


  • A relevant qualification in Payroll Administration and/or demonstrated experience within a payroll position
  • Knowledge and experience of payroll procedures, tax obligations and relevant legislations
  • Demonstrated experience using payroll systems (Accendre, or Oracle highly regarded_)_
- _Ability to maintain confidentiality in relation to payroll matters and people information_

  • High level communication and customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail and problem solving abilities
  • Willingness to be part of a team with a can do attitude
