    About the Role
    The Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM), under delegation from the Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), will provide operational, clinical and professional leadership to staff, ensuring practice is aligned with the St Vincent's Health Australia mission and values and the Nurse and Midwifery Board of Australia standards. During shift, the ANUM is responsible for the delivery of comprehensive, safe and evidence-based nursing practice that support person-centred outcomes for patients and the well-being of staff.

    • Actively manage portfolios as delegated by NUM
    • Assist with management of operational budget with consideration to consumables and rostering
    • Promote operational efficiency and patient flow whilst maintaining quality of practice
    • Ensure clinical practice is advanced, contemporary and evidence-based and in the context of policy and procedural guielines
    • Supervise and direct other staff as required in clinical practice

    Classifications for this position will range between YW11 - YW12 ( $106, $110,432.10 per annum pro rata).

    Your Contribution

    • Bachelor of Nursing
    • Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
    • Experience in care of the older person
    • Highly developed leadership and organisational skills, including ability to work with an interdisciplinary team, and provide leadership when required
    • Ability to organise and work to schedules to achieve the best results for patients
    • Current National criminal history check, or willing to obtain

    The Geriatric Evaluation Management (GEM) Units are progressive and dynamic 24-bed (Kew) and 20-bed (Fitzroy) units specialising in the care of the older person. With an emphasis on person-centred care, our interdisciplinary teams partner with consumers to optimise outcomes and preserve human dignity.
