We are looking for Telecommunication Field Engineer to join our NSW team.


About the roleYour responsibilities will include:

  • Installing, servicing, troubleshooting, and diagnosing issues with microwave, telemetry, multiplexing, satellite, and other radio and electromagnetic wave communication systems.
  • Installing telecommunications equipment and appliances such as telephones, switchboards and data transmission equipment.
  • Joining cables and sealing sheaths with lead and thermoplastic. Configuring and integrating network and telecommunications technology with computer software, hardware, peripherals, databases, and operating systems. Erecting, testing and maintaining aerial and underground wires and cables, and radio and mobile phone antennae.
  • Safety & Quality Inspections & Non-Conformance Reporting.
  • Creating and maintaining logs detailing inventory, equipment status, and locations, and ensuring documentation of communication policies, procedures, guidelines, and quality standards.
  • Collaborating with vendors, suppliers, service providers, and external resources, and overseeing contractual obligations and service delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements

To be considered for this opportunity you will have the following skills and experience:

  • Qualification equivalent to AQF Cert IV or higher or min 4 years relevant work experience.
  • At least 2 years working experience in field engineer, trouble shooting and team management on a major telecommunication network.
  • First Aid & CPR required. Construction Card (White Card) required.
  • Traffic Management card (Yellow Card) preferred.
  • Working at height preferred.
  • Extensive understanding of networks.
  • Can do attitude.
  • Australian (C Class) Drivers Licence required.
  • Police check (within 6 months): Must be clear with no convictions.
  • Position requires willingness to get Flu and Covid Vaccinations as we may work in the Aged Care sector.

Pay Rate:
$38 per hour plus superannuation
