Job Description:


Working with the Social Value team, Strategic Pursuits Manager and Client and Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for developing and implementing a social responsibility strategy for Civil Infrastructure Vic/SA/Tas (VSAT).


It's a relationship driven role in which you will work to establish a network of connections that will facilitate relationships with social enterprise organisation and statutory authorities, with a view to future procurement of goods and services.


Developing a detailed working knowledge of the Building Equality Policy, Victorian Social Procurement Framework, Major Project Skills Guarantee Framework, and Local Industry Development Program, you will keep abreast of any new framework or policies in VSAT that require social procurement, updating the business strategy and approach as appropriate.


This role will also be responsible for reporting the progress of the strategy to both internal and external stakeholders as needed.

About You

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a complex environment and use influencing skills to drive initiatives.
  • Highly developed written and oral communication skills, including the ability to prepare presentation materials to articulate ideas and suggestions to senior leaders.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with/advise all levels of seniority in environments with pressing delivery schedules.
  • Demonstrated problem solving, time management and organisational skills.
  • Client focused.
Highly collaborative; Strong influencing, stakeholder management and relationship building skills.

  • A strategic thinker who is willing to get hands dirty.
  • Totally committed and able to work consistently to deadlines under pressure and tight timeframes.

Qualifications:


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous medium to long term experience in notforprofit or professional services environment is essential.
  • Relationships with social procurement organsiations, First Nations businesses, local statutory authorities and social enterprises will be well regarded.
