About the Role


Reporting to the Technical Team Lead and working closely with Royal Australian Navy (RAN) instructional staff, you will be responsible for conducting preventative and corrective maintenance and installation of simulation systems.

You will also be responsible for support of the Bridge Simulator, fault diagnosis of electronic systems and audio equipment along with collaborating regularly with RAN personnel to understand, log and analyse problems.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Qualifications in an IT discipline or Electrical Engineering background at a minimum level of Diploma level are highly desirable but not essential
  • Demonstrated background working with Computer networks and IT systems
  • Previous work experience within a Defence environment is preferred however not essential
  • Experience with Fault diagnosis of training systems, information systems, training networks and audiovisual equipment will be viewed favourably
  • Flexible with availability with shifts covering 5am to midnight Monday to Friday.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, including the ability to show initiative and work effectively under pressure in a fastpaced environment
  • Current and valid Driver's Licence is Essential to meet the travel requirements of the role
