The Role:


Working within the operations group the Contracts Manager is responsible for providing leadership and contract management support to the operations team.

You will collaborate with key stakeholders across multiple sites delivering commercially focused contract solutions.

The role will require you to work across multiple business units working on the acceptance of Operational assets from the development group ensuring all contractual obligations are met.

You will conduct regular contract reviews with the wider group reporting on high-risk areas and lessons learnt with a view of continuous improvement.

Responsibilities:In this role, your responsibilities would include but are not limited to the following:

  • Manage the tendering process, engage finance and procurement teams, to award contracts for all work outside of O&M contracts
  • Develop work scopes and contract administration for adhoc site works
  • Resolve contract disputes, lead contractual discussions with contractors, and record all formal contractual correspondence
  • Maintain positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and contractors
  • Provide training and guidance on operational contracts with the site teams
  • Deliver monthly reporting, tracking progress on yearly compliance commitments and progress against the company strategic plan
  • Support the operations team by highlighting areas of weakness and assisting with implementing improvement actions
  • Develop and implement an internal audit strategy
  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure commitments are communicated and achieved
  • Develop and implement a system for the review of contract conditions and performance for operational sites
  • Assist with ISO certifications, working within the framework set up
  • Engage corporate and project stakeholders to develop sustainable processes

About you:


  • Minimum of 5 years working in a similar role with demonstrated experience in contract management and administration.
  • You will have the ability to work with various stakeholders from all levels.
  • You will be able to lead by example and drive positive outcomes embedding an initiativetaking culture towards contract management.
  • High level of understanding in administering contracts.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and regulation.
  • Demonstrate leadership, stakeholder management, and coordination abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous experience with reporting and record keeping.
  • Knowledge of the energy industry is advantageous.
  • Experience conducting contractual audits.
  • Ability to build and foster good relationships.
  • A selfstarter with attention to detail.
  • C class driver's license.
