They specialize in the development, ownership, and operation of a diverse portfolio of energy and utilities assets, including renewable power plants, energy storage facilities, transmission networks, and water treatment plants.
As they continue to expand, they are seeking a talented and experienced Portfolio Development Lead to join their team and contribute to shaping the future of their portfolio.
As a Portfolio Development Lead, you will play a critical role in driving the growth and diversification of our client's energy and utilities portfolio.
Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will lead the development and execution of portfolio expansion strategies, ensuring successful project delivery and making a significant impact on the global energy landscape.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and assess new business opportunities, strategic partnerships, and potential acquisitions to expand the energy and utilities portfolio.
- Conduct comprehensive market research, competitive analysis, and feasibility studies to evaluate the viability and potential returns of new projects.
- Develop and execute portfolio expansion strategies aligned with the company's strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to negotiate and secure project development agreements, partnerships, and joint ventures.
- Oversee the project development process, including permitting, financing, engineering, and construction activities, to ensure successful project delivery.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in portfolio development, business development, or project management within the energy and utilities sector.
- Strong knowledge of the energy and utilities industry, including renewable energy, clean technologies, utilities infrastructure, and market dynamics.
- Proven track record of identifying and executing successful business development opportunities, partnerships, and acquisitions.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with the capability to identify market trends and assess investment opportunities.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet project deadlines.
- Experience in project development, permitting, and financing within the energy and utilities sector is highly desirable.
