About The Role
As the Data Governance Manager, your primary responsibility is to ensure efficient management of the company's data resources.

You will lead a team of Data Governance Specialists and work closely with other departments to establish, maintain, and enforce data governance policies and procedures.


What you'll be doing:


  • Developing and implementing data governance policies, procedures, and standards
  • Ensuring compliance with data regulations and industry best practices
  • Collaborating with data owners to identify data risks and implement data risk mitigation strategies
  • Establishing data quality standards and monitoring data quality
  • Managing the company's metadata and data catalogue
  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of data lineage
  • Managing the data life cycle, from creation to disposal
  • Communicating data governance policies and procedures to stakeholders
  • Providing data governance training to employees
  • Ensuring the efficient use of data resources
  • Monitoring and reporting on data governance performance

What you'll bring to the table:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Management, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in data governance, quality management, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of data quality dimensions, methodologies, and best practices. (Accuracy, Completeness, Consistency, Timeliness, Relevance, Validity, Uniqueness, Consensus)
  • Experience with data profiling, data quality assessment, and data cleansing techniques.
  • Proficiency in using data quality tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with datarelated regulations, such as GDPR, MOR, HIPAA and CCPA, specifically regarding data quality management.
  • Knowledge of data governance principles and frameworks.
  • People leadership: the ability to lead, mentor, and develop a team of data governance specialists, including the Data Governance Specialist
  • Data Quality, the Data Governance Specialist
  • Meta, Master and Data Catalogue, and the Data Governance Specialist
  • Policy, Life Cycle, Lineage.
  • Stakeholder management: the ability to influence stakeholders at various levels, including

General Manager:

Enterprise Data, PDG groups, Customer and Commercial Teams, Legal and Governance Office, Architecture, CyberSecurity, and others, to achieve data governance objectives.


  • Knowledge of DMBOKV2: Familiarity with the Data Management Body of Knowledge Version 2 (DMBOKV2) and its best data governance and management practices.
  • Strategic planning and execution: the ability to develop and execute data governance strategies that align with organisational goals and objectives.
  • Change management: the ability to navigate and manage change related to data governance policies, procedures, and processes
