Manager Enterprise Architecture, 12 month temporary opportunity, Sydney CBD or Parramatta office locations + flexible/hybrid options available

  • 12 month temporary position available, with the possibility to extend of make ongoing
  • Clerk Grade 11/12, Salary starting from $139,787 base + 11% Superannuation.
  • Sydney CBD (McKell) or Parramatta office locations flexible plus hybrid working arrangements available.


An exciting temporary opportunity has arisen for a Manager of Enterprise Architect (MEA) to join Digital, Delivery, Innovation and Architecture within the Department of Customer Service.


About the Role
The MEA have a critical role in leading the development and execution of the DCS ICT Strategy.

The MEA leads the Enterprise Architecture and Solution Design teams to:


  • Drive the development of vision, principles, target state architectures, and technology roadmaps for core and common ICT services.
  • Lead the development of agency alignment plans in collaboration with agency business and architecture leads to drive the simplification and standardisation of the overall architecture.
  • Provide technology evaluations and recommendations for projects and programs to align with strategy and standards.
  • Supporting projects and agency architecture teams through driving standardsbased system design and architecture, development of proof of concepts, and options analysis.
  • Govern cluster strategic architecture by partnering with PMO, Business Engagement, ICT domain owners, and agency digital teams.
  • Build capability and capacity within the team, manage allocation to projects, and ensure alignment with quality standards and target state.

About you
To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Outcome driven with a drive for customer satisfaction, pragmatism and success.
  • Experience in building relationships across a broad stakeholder group, providing technical leadership, and gaining support to drive strategic outcomes.
  • Experience in identifying and execute on opportunities to simplify in complex and disparate technology environments.
  • Experience in effectively managing a team of experienced enterprise and solution architects, and commercial partners to deliver architectural alignment across multiple organisations and supporting high volume of program and projects.
  • Ability to work in a high velocity environment and managing multiple competing priorities personally and for the team.
  • Experience with developing and implementing EA framework in a multifaceted organisation is highly desirable.
