Marketing Analyst - NSW Government Department

Primary purpose of the role

To develop and coordinate marketing strategies, determine the market for new services in a B2B environment, and identify and develop market opportunities for new and existing services, assist in delivering on marketing projects for 2023.


Key accountabilities

  • Work with the Marketing Manager to develop and coordinate marketing campaigns relating to key programs that articulate the NSW Government departments message for customers and the community.
  • Prepare and maintain plans for campaign activities ensuring the alignment with brand and corporate strategy.
  • Identify capability gaps and collaborate with your manager to improve team effectiveness.
  • Responsible for frequent reporting and sharing of data to show campaign effectiveness and areas of improvement.
  • Develop and deliver marketing communication material as required for use across digital and social media channels, ATL channels, direct customer communications channels as well as leveraging the formal education program channels and stakeholder channels.

Essential requirements

  • 5 years' experience in the marketing or a related field
  • Effective negotiation and strong influencing skills
  • Experienced in developing, reviewing and using research, insights and data to influence outcomes
  • Strategic thinking with proven planning, influencing, negotiation and facilitation skills
  • Excellent customer relationship and interpersonal skills develops rapport and credibility with business and agency partners.
  • Strong understanding of digital and emerging communications
