About the Role
The Facilities Manager is a crucial role that sits within the Building Services team. This role is offered on an ongoing full time basis.


You will be required to use your prior experience to deliver the Museum's ambitious facilities management and capital improvement programme.

Directly reporting to the Senior Manager Building Services, you will coordinate and deliver a diverse range of facilities services as well as managing small scale maintenance projects and supporting the delivery of other capital projects managed by the broader team.


  • Role Description


You will be paid a competitive annual salary $106,025 - $117,363, plus employer's contribution to superannuation (currently 11%) and annual leave loading.


About You


We are seeking a motivated individual who thrives on solving problems, can respond to a diverse range of challenges associated with the Museum's operation and associated facilities.

You will be flexible in your approach to your stakeholders and able to reach mutually acceptable outcomes.


Your Knowledge & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or equivalent industry experience.
  • Experience in providing support in a facilities and building services environment with an understanding of air conditioning and electrical systems and associated computerised control systems, with an emphasis on buildings which have a heritage component and are multiuse public facilities.
  • Project planning, management and delivery skills and experience with contract management in a building services context, with a particular focus on general maintenance or multidisciplinary activities.
  • Strong influencing and persuasion skills with experience managing external contractors and internal stakeholders, coupled with an approachable and successful communication style which results in issues being raised and risks managed in a timely and effective manner.
  • Knowledge of Mainpac or similar asset management software is an advantage.
