About the Company:
An established builder specialising in residential and commercial construction with multiple projects across Sydney.

They are currently looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to be site based in Sydney.

About the Role of the Health & Safety Advisor: The Safety Advisor is an essential role that supports the construction team and the National Safety Manager ensuring that it meets all relevant statutory obligations regarding Occupational Health & Safety in the workplace.

Duties Include:

Provide ongoing education/mentoring to staff on their WHSE responsibilities
Facilitate consultation in workplace WHSE including, where required, setting up safety committees on site; daily prestarts; internal/external toolbox meetings etc
Take the lead role in investigation of injuries, incidents and near miss events, including recommending improvements at both site level and corporate improvements
Review and updating of WHSE related procedures, templates and other documents as required.

Requirements for the Health & Safety Manager:

Cert IV or Diploma in OHS
Minimum 5 years post qualification experience in a similar construction environment
The ability to confidently communicate with internal and external site staff and manage/coordinate accordingly
Well organised and selfmotivated and the ability to work in a fast paced construction site
