About the opportunity:


The University's HR Services team delivers pro-active client focused services, supporting the Universitys strategic directions and embracing the principles of continuous improvement, best practice, health, safety and welfare, equal opportunity and cultural diversity to over 1700 employees.


Joining the newly formed HR Shared Services team, you will be responsible for the professional and timely completion of a variety of HR operational tasks throughout the employee lifecycle, with particular focus on managing employment and other documentation, maintaining data in the HR information system and providing first-line response to HR enquiries.

In addition, you will have the opportunity to support annual HR programs and exciting HR projects and initiatives that promote effective contemporary workforce management practices.

About you:


As a customer service focused professional, you will have strong attention to detail, exceptional time management skills and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently.

You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a particular interest in expanding your HR skillset.


In addition, you will possess:

  • A qualification at Certificate level and at least two years' relevant experience, or equivalent.
  • Demonstrated strong teamwork skills as well as strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Diplomacy, tact, discretion and proven ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Advanced computing and data entry skills, including wordprocessing and spreadsheets.

Salary and benefits:

We have two (2) full-time, fixed term (12 months) positions available located at Lismore.


The base salary for HEW Level 4 ranges from $66,802 - $71,774 per annum, plus 17% employer's contribution to superannuation.

The total remuneration package is up to $83,975 per annum.
