About the Role
You will be responsible for providing chair-side assistance to the Dentist/Dental Specialist/Hygienist in the delivery of dental services to patients.
You will also assist with administrative tasks such as entering/updating patient records as well as other duties as required by the Dentist including promotion of oral health to patients and maintaining optimal hygiene of the surgery.
- To be successful in this role, you will have:_
- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
- Certificate III in Dental Assisting or nationally recognised equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years (full time equivalent) experience within the last 5 years.
- Recent participation in Continuing Professional Development (CPD) activities.
- Current First Aid (HLTAID011) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (HLTAID009) certification.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team to support the delivery of safe, efficient and highquality care to patients within a dental surgery.
About the Stirling Health Centre
Located approximately 45km South of Perth, the Stirling Health Centre is on base at HMAS Stirling on Garden Island.
This base has a 4km causeway that connects the island to the mainland of Rockingham, and the health centre itself offers physiotherapy, dentistry, pharmaceutical, general medical and outpatient services, and provides support to the Submarine and Underwater Medicine Unit.
Its standard hours of operation are , Monday-Friday.About You

Ensuring compliance with all relevant standards and procedures, you take pride in contributing to the cleanliness and effectiveness of a dental surgery environment and assisting your team wherever possible.
