The Position

St John of God Midland Public & Private Hospital has an opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced
Consultant Physician to join our team, providing specialist medical services. Our consultants will promote patient quality and safe care and provide leadership, training, supervision, mentorship and education to doctors in training and other health workers. Fixed term two-year contract with part time options considered.

SJGMPPH has a total of 367 beds, 307 for public patients and 60 for private patients, with the hospitals conveniently located on one site, bringing health care closer to home.

Eligible for registration by the Medical Board of Australia.
Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians or equivalent.
Appropriate training and experience in general or subspecialty medicine.
Demonstrated highly developed communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work and coordinate multidisciplinary teams.
Demonstrated knowledge of continuous improvement principles and experience in implementing and maintaining Quality Assurance Programs together with personal professional development programs.
Demonstrated competency in providing clinical leadership in a work environment.
Demonstrated expertise in teaching both Graduate and Under-Graduate students.

$448,526 including 11% superannuation per annum, pro rata for part time)
