Description

An exciting opportunity for an Events and Project Specialist at Swinburne University of Technology within the Communications and Media department has become open.


This role will work on the development and execution of major recruitment events such as those linked to the VTAC campaigns and the coordination of University Open Days.

The Events and Projects Specialist will manage major events from inception to delivery ensuring all client deliverables are met.


In this role, excellent stakeholder management skills are required to be able to work closely with not only the Events and Projects Coordinator and Director and Communications and Media, but also with existing and prospective clients and stakeholders.

This will include working with the Marketing team, and Communications and Media team to contribute to the development and implementation of marketing objectives.


About You

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:

  • Proven ability to support clients, stakeholders, and business partners
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, including planning, scheduling, prioritizing (with conflicting deadlines) event management and reporting
  • Experience in team management, mentoring and training
  • Demonstrated computer skills in the MS Office suite

Qualifications

  • A degree in Marketing/ communications, Business Management or related fields with subsequent relevant experience or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training
  • Current Victorian Drivers Licence
