A leading
Federal Government Department is looking to engage skilled and experienced
Geospatial Analyst,
based out of either their Canberra or Brisbane office.

You will be providing support and technical advice regarding geospatial analysis techniques, GIS analysis tools available, and the use of location data with geospatial toolsets available in across the department's environment.

The successful
Geospatial Analyst will secure a
contract to 30th
June 2024 with 2x 12-month extension options + rewarding hourly rate + Hybrid working arrangements
The successful
Geospatial Analyst will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Assisting in day-to-day operations of GIS functions across the department.
  • Preparation of appropriate documentation such as design specifications, user guides and handover documentation.
  • Conducing technical troubleshooting for geospatial related matters arising in the department's domain.
  • Providing technical insight and recommendations regarding spatial data and spatial metadata standards.
The successful
Geospatial Analyst will have experience in the following:

  • Demonstrated ability to deliver Geospatial solutions and support through the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile development practices.
  • Proven interpersonal skills and capacity to communicate and work effectively within a multidisciplined and blended team environment.
  • Practical skills in developing data management design artifacts, including developing mapping documents for builds in support of business processes and objectives.
  • Ability to query and interpret data using efficient and effective SQL and provide sound advice on complex data/information related matters to deliver quality solutions.
