What you will be doing:


An exciting opportunity has become available for a talented and organised individual to join the Mental Health Acute Unit in a permanent full time position.

The Clinical Support Officer (CSO) role will be ward/unit based and support the work activities of nurses, medical staff and allied health staff, with locally determined shift times based on patient and ward/unit service delivery needs.

An eligibility list may be created for future vacancies.

Selection Criteria to be Addressed:


  • Holds or willing to undertake a Certificate III in Health administration or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication skills, including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken work and ability to deal courteously with people at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office, Healthroster, Staff link, iProcurement and My Health Learning.
  • Capacity work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
  • Able to demonstrate problem solving and prioritising skills in a work environment.
  • Be able to meet the physical demands of the position as listed in the physical requirements in the position description.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
