About the Role


Our EarlyAQtion Kindi team based in Sunnybank Hills have an opportunity for an experienced registered Teacher (or allied health practitioner - Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist) to join and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide quality early years education & therapy support for children on the spectrum & their families.


The Group Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating a quality early intervention group program, addressing individualised support needs of children & families, and acts as the main point of contact for families.

This role is being offered for 3 days per week (Monday to Wednesday), leading a 2 day/week group with 1 day/week provisioned for administration duties.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualification in Education or Special Education, Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology
  • Proven experience as a qualified Teacher (preferably in Early Years education), Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist
  • Demonstrated understanding of contemporary methodologies in the provision of early intervention for children on the autism spectrum or other developmental challenges, and their families
  • Proven knowledge of child development, communication, social interaction, learning and understanding and managing behaviour
  • Understanding and experience in the design and implementation of direct (individual and/or group) and consultationbased support and intervention which is responsive to the individual needs of children, their families, and other relevant stakeholders

Special Conditions & Requirements

  • Evidence of current COVID19 Vaccination
  • Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance*
  • Professional registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or AHPRA/SPA Membership
  • Provide First Aid inc. Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate
