About the Role

Our EarlyAQtion Kindi team based in Sunnybank Hills have an opportunity for an experienced registered Teacher (or allied health practitioner - Speech Pathologist or Occupational Therapist) to join and collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to provide quality early years education & therapy support for children on the spectrum & their families.

The Group Leader is responsible for leading and coordinating a quality early intervention group program, addressing individualised support needs of children & families, and acts as the main point of contact for families.

This role is being offered for 3 days per week (Monday to Wednesday), leading a 2 day/week group with 1 day/week provisioned for administration duties.

Skills & Experience

Tertiary qualification in Education or Special Education, Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology
Proven experience as a qualified Teacher (preferably in Early Years education), Occupational Therapist or Speech Pathologist
Demonstrated understanding of contemporary methodologies in the provision of early intervention for children on the autism spectrum or other developmental challenges, and their families
Proven knowledge of child development, communication, social interaction, learning and understanding and managing behaviour
Understanding and experience in the design and implementation of direct (individual and/or group) and consultationbased support and intervention which is responsive to the individual needs of children, their families, and other relevant stakeholders

Special Conditions & Requirements

Evidence of current COVID19 Vaccination
Blue Card & NDIS Worker Screening Clearance*
Professional registration with Queensland College of Teachers (QCT) or AHPRA/SPA Membership
Provide First Aid inc. Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate
