About the Client


Our client, a renowned global luxury fashion house known for their captivating and iconic collections are looking for a passionate Junior Designer to join their team of talented creatives.

Your New Role


As the Junior Designer you will collaborate closely with the Creative Director and the design team to conceptualise and develop seasonal collections.

Your artistic flair and innovative ideas will be instrumental in shaping the brand's vision and aesthetic, creating designs that epitomise luxury and elegance.


Key Responsibilities

  • Playing an integral role in sample development, pattern sheets setup, and quality assurance throughout the production process.
  • Support the Creative Director and senior design team on seasonal concepts, suggesting initial story ideas across a breadth of moods.
  • Work on concepts and final artworks for print, embroidery, and trims to develop relevant and new seasonal materials.
  • Communicate design ideas to Creative Director through research, illustration, and sketching.
  • Attend Design meetings during each stage of the seasonal Design process concepting, fabric selection, colour palette development, collection structure, retail merchandise planning/buying input and garment design/silhouette.
  • Produce illustrations and technical drawings for pattern maker guidance and production use.
  • Assist in the preproduction for Runway updating and communicating changes from the Senior Design Directors.
  • Assist in preparation of seasonal collection Range Review meetings prior to show/release to market.
  • Participate in seasonal handover to Production to ensure complex finishes are correctly executed at bulk stage.
  • Provide input into the development and production of the samples ranges for press and sales.
  • Assist in the Runway preparation in the lead up to show.

About You


You have a Fashion Design degree from a respected Australian or international institution and have achieved outstanding results in both course work and in external competitions.


  • 3 years' experience as a designer with an internationally recognised designer brand, or experience in a similar role.
  • The ability to demonstrate creative instincts and a distinct point of view.
  • Have clear design and communicative skills.
  • Advanced Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign skills as well as a strong drawing ability.
  • Good technical garment and fabric knowledge.
  • Generation of quality ideas and the ability to work well with constructive feedback.
  • Accurate hand and computer illustrations for pattern makers and production use.
  • Building effective and positive relationships within all levels of the design team.
