_The Role:
_


The Caseworker assists Families in crisis with children who are at risk of entering Out Of Home Care, and supports them in learning new skills that will enhance their parenting role utilising a person-centred approach.

You will intensively case manage 1- 4 families and work with children and young people experiencing domestic violence and trauma within the home.

You will have excellent case management capabilities and the willingness to have difficult conversations. Regularly visiting families in accordance with the Program Level Agreement and Funding Agreement.

Ensure all work with children/young people and their families is undertaken in a professional manner in accordance with relevant standards and legislation.

Liaise with clients, families and identified service providers to develop and effectively implement a holistic case plan. Ensure accurate statistical data records are collated and distributed in line with program, funding guidelines and agreements. Keeping up to date files, case notes, assessments and case plans.


_Essential Criteria:
_


  • Relevant tertiary qualifications and equivalent demonstrated experience
  • Knowledge of Child Protection Legislation
  • Experience in conducting assessments, providing effective case management and writing reports
  • Welldeveloped client service skills including the ability to work with families with complex and multiple needs and liaise with identified service providers
  • Demonstrated capacity to work effectively with First Nations and CALD colleagues and clients
  • WWCC
