ABOUT THE ROLE:


Summary of the role:

The Deteriorating Patient and Resuscitation Coordinator will coordinate, collaborate and assist with the facilitation of best practice early detection, escalation and resuscitation of the deteriorating patient across the Mercy Hosptials Victoria Ltd.


  • Permanent full time position, Grade
  • Key leadership position working across Mercy Hospital for Women in Heidelberg and Werribee Mercy Hospital
  • Expert clinical advisor for educational strategies related to Resuscitation
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders to coordinate and facilitate and lead multidisciplinary education programs that align with the Australian Resuscitation Council guidelines
  • Coordinate quality improvement activities

ABOUT YOU:


  • Registered Nurse Division One with the AHPRA
  • Post-Graduate Diploma in Critical Care Nursing or equivalent with a minimum of 4 years clinical experience in a critical care area
  • Previous experience in the assessment, development, implementation and evaluation of educational programs
  • Post-Graduate qualification in education
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including negotiation, problem solving and conflict resolution
  • Current accredited Advanced Life Support Adult and Paediatric certification
  • The ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
Desirable

  • ARC Course Instructor
  • Project management experience
  • Advanced Neonatal resuscitation experience
