We are in the market for a self-motivated and experienced individual to join our City Parks Natural Areas team.

You are passionate about your profession and enjoy the rewards of a good challenge by providing efficient and effective general bushland maintenance tasks and monitoring within the City's bushland, estuary, and coastal reserves.

What impact will you make?

You are friendly, supportive and actively listen to the needs of others.
You enjoy working with people, can build strong relationships.
You assist with the assessment and monitoring activities with reserves, and are open to the opinions of others, and implement management plans for high priority natural areas.
You operate tools and spray equipment in a professional and safe manner and are able to identify and control weeds in the natural area.
You contribute to the team in providing natural area maintenance tasks including:
General litter collection;
Fence installation and repair; and
Assisting with native species planting, tree guarding, watering and seed collection and processing.
You ensure the proper operation and security of materials, plant and equipment.
You undertake daily regular maintenance and safety inspections of tools and machinery.
You are skilled in traffic management.

What can you bring to the team?

Certificate III and/or Cert IV in Conservation and Land Management OR Five (5) years on ground experience in conservation and land management
Current unrestricted MR or HR class national drivers' licence
Sound native plant knowledge and identification
Experience in natural area maintenance and rehabilitation including construction, assessment and monitoring
Current Certificate in Basic Worksite Traffic Management
Current White Card
Chainsaw Ticket
Current Senior First Aid Certificate (desirable)
Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones and other electronic devices.
