What does the job look like?


Working within our highly regarded Intermodal business unit and based out of a key site in West Melbourne we are looking to hire a PM Transport Operations Coordinator (4PM - 12AM).

The Operations Coordinator will manage the rail transport operations on shift with regular interaction with customers, drivers, and other Linfox sites.


Key areas:

  • Track loads end to end including prior to the timeslot, whilst the driver is on site, and confirming that the despatch or delivery has been completed
  • Managing the daily driver allocations and deliveries
  • Proactively resolve operational issues with the best solution for the customer and driver's safety in mind. This may include safety incidents, rejections, delays on site, or driver behaviour not aligned with Linfox values
  • Providing proactive verbal and written communication to the customer when there are service impacts
  • Provide accurate and detailed reporting on DODD or DOT service KPIs for Key Customer Accounts
  • Monitor Temperature Controlled loads and immediately action any defects or breaches
Are you the one?

  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills experience with TMS highly regarded
  • Strong geographical knowledge of the Melbourne metro area
  • Ability to work autonomously and provide timely, safe and effective advice to drivers on the road
  • Recent grads with some handson experience encouraged to apply
  • Proven experience in a similar role involving transport load planning, driver allocating or fleet allocating desirable
  • Highly professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organised with the ability to work calmly and efficiently in a very highpressure environment
