The role
You'll lead a talented legal team and partner with the business strategically on a broad scope of expertise.

Reporting to the CFO, you'll work closely with the Board, Remuneration and Audit & Risk Committees in your role as Company Secretary.

What you will be doing

Ownership of the legal function within Prospa which provides support across all areas of the business including product, funding, procurement, finance, marketing, technology, customer resolutions and sales
Company Secretary to the Board, Remuneration and Audit and Risk Committees
Ownership of the relationship with ASX and Link, including involvement in mandatory reporting
Negotiating, drafting and reviewing material commercial contracts
Monitoring and reporting on regulatory, industry and legal developments
Manage Group's insurance requirements, including general and financial lines insurance renewals, review of insurance clauses in contracts, and claims
Ownership of Prospa's external legal advisors
Responsible for maintaining Prospa's intellectual property interests
Responsible for maintaining Prospa's employee equity plan

What you'll need to succeed

Australian qualified lawyer with a current practising certificate
Demonstrated success as inhouse counsel, within a listed company
Expertise in laws, regulation and obligations in the finance industry
Ability to balance commercial objectives with legal advice
Experience in liaising with senior executives and Board members
You are passionate about leadership and supporting a high performing team
