Position Information:

Epping Boys High School is a proudly comprehensive high school for boys with an enrolment of 1400.

A Middle School and Senior School structure recognises and enhances the learning and wellbeing needs of all students and is complemented by the _Boys to Men _Program which engages boys in learning, promotes wellbeing and builds young men who are connected to their community.

The School Improvement Plan values data driven practice and strong collaboration to further the vision for the school, with intrinsic links between wellbeing and learning underpinning the educational purpose at Epping Boys High School.

Selection Criteria:

Applicants must satisfy the teacher training and academic qualification requirements for this position. In addition to the general selection criteria,

  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively to drive educational improvement to build teacher capacity
  • Demonstrated ability to model best practice teaching strategies, to lead and support early career teachers.
  • Demonstrated educational expertise to lead teaching and learning through creating and evaluating wholeschool professional learning that supports teacher growth and development.

General Selection Criteria:


  • Successful teaching experience with capacity to initiate improvement in teaching, learning and classroom practice
  • Knowledge of curriculum, assessment and student welfare with the ability to lead and design quality, inclusive teaching and learning programs
  • Educational leadership skills to build the capacity and manage the performance of individuals and teams
  • Well developed communication and interpersonal skills with the capacity to build relationships and engage students, staff and parents
  • Ability to plan and manage resources effectively and equitably to support teaching and learning
  • Knowledge of and commitment to the Department's Aboriginal education policies
